This spectacular event will also serve as a fund raiser for Orlando, Florida native Samantha Johansen with one-hundred percent of the proceeds from a silent auction, raffle and additional activities.
After years of trying to have a baby, Samantha and Fred Johansen’s prayers were answered. Frederick Knox was born on November 4, 2016. Samantha is tough, but tiny so carrying an 8lb + baby wasn’t easy (carrying babies in general isn?t easy!). Surprisingly, symptoms and pains that were associated with pregnancy didn’t go away as expected. Just 7 weeks after Knox?s birth, tests revealed a tumor. Days later, Sam was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer with numerous metastatic tumors on her liver. Family, church family, friends and colleagues know that Sam is a ray of sunshine. Her outer beauty is nothing compared to her amazing kindness, compassion and selflessness. She is joyful and loving ? and she is determined to fight AND beat this.
Sam is deeply loved by so many people. Now is the time she needs your love, prayers and support as she undergoes treatment. First and foremost, please pray for Sam, her new baby, Fred and her family. Second believe in Sam and her strength to kick this awful disease. And finally, please consider providing financial support in any amount to help the Johansen family with lost wages, travel and other unexpected expenses related to Sam’s treatment.
You can support Sam by making a donation to NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 2.O or through Samantha’s GoFundMe page:
Please encourage your friends and family to do the same by sharing this page widely and frequently. Your generosity will mean everything to Samantha, her family, and friends.
NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 2.0: The shows will be presented by lead partners Verity & Victoria Naturals, Dress Haute, AVON, Red Aspen, Bebe’s & Liz’s, Photography by GiGi Lives, Sparkling Southern Beauties, Crown Garland Inc., Rosanna Tran, Gem-a-lot and official media partner Beauty…it’s Everywhere.
The digital home for NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 2.0 will be www.beautyitseverywhere.com and @beautyitseverywhere across Facebook and Instagram, which will feature exclusive designer content, live streams. and archives of designer shows, and social activations during the weekend and throughout the year.
About Art & Beauty Magazine
Art & Beauty Magazine is a publication dedicated to pageant fans around the world. The magazine covers
everything from fashion, beauty, health/fitness, inspirational stories and more. A magazine written by up & coming fashion designers, beauty queens and fans makes this a definite FAN favorite.
About Pop’s World Foundation
The Pop?s World Foundation was created to officially continue community service that has been ongoing for the last 10+ years. It was also formed to honor Charles Kennerly, who most lovingly refer to as Pop. Over the years Pop has not only supported pageant and talent competitions as a way to mentor girls and women of all ages, but he has specifically focused on helping to raise funds for those in need. Over the years his efforts have provided Christmas presents and much needed winter clothing to the children and teens housed in the St. Vincent?s Center for abused kids, given cash donations to families in need due to the death of a child, and provided assistance to those who have faced catastrophic tragedies or loss that has occurred and dramatically affected these families thus creating serere financial hardship. The goal of this foundation is to take these efforts to an even bigger and better place. We want to be able to help families in true financial need, to help those who want to continue their education and to offer a way to mentor women and girls through pageant and talent competitions. We feel very strongly that there is so much good that can be done for the contestants and for the world through pageantry.
