In solidarity of sisterhood, and in the true spirit of New York Fashion Week, Supermodels Unlimited Magazine will proudly present: The LBD Movement during their annual runway show on September 8th, 2018. Over the last year, survivors, celebrities and supporters of these various movements have donned black dresses at the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Emmy’s and the Tony Awards to shine a light on how women are treated. This Fashion Week we honor that tradition and present a curated collection that will allow new faces and strong voices to contribute to their respective causes.
This season’s show will feature real life role models, who have given back to their communities and inspired a new generation of women to be true to themselves. Walking the Supermodels Unlimited runway are models from different backgrounds including; Laura Kirkpatrick & Jeana Turner from America’s Next Top Model (ANTM), who will walk representing Dyslexia and Alopecia. Joining them is Isis King from the hit TV Series STRUT, walking in support of the Trans community, along with Kasey Cohen from Bravo’s Below Deck, as well as many more models and celebrities. To drive further support and care for all #fearlessfemales, we have a special guest model this season, Izzy who is the youngest model with Down Syndrome to walk at NYFW.
Supermodels Unlimited Magazine will conclude the annual runway show with a check presentation to the Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network and will host a cocktail hour from 8-9PM giving both guests and media an opportunity to spend time with these #fearlessfemales as they speak up about their lives, their communities and their contributions. Press and media are encouraged to arrive by 6PM for red carpet photos and interviews as well as a pre-show spring trends preview followed by a live performance by popular contestants from The Voice; the main show will begin promptly at 7PM.
