History of the Hôtel Napoléon
Located on the former Tolstoy family mansion, the hotel was built in 1928 – in the Art Deco style – by architect Henry Porteau. Shortly after it’s opening, it was bought by a Russian businessman who gave it as a wedding present to his beautiful French wife. They lived there for several years, entertaining the whole of Paris.
Avenue des Champs-Élysées
Located a few metres from the hotel, the avenue known as the most beautiful in the world can be discovered throughout the day, for its shops of course, but also to admire the superb view from the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde.
Arc de Triomphe
Located on the former Place de l’Étoile (named after the twelve avenues that surround the monument and form a star), it was built at the request of the Emperor Napoleon after the famous battle of Austerlitz (1805).
