IMPACT NYFW was envisioned by Lizzy Gee, an all-inclusive fashion designer based in Brooklyn, NY. Practicing sustainability with her designs, she wanted to further transcend eco-conscious methods in regards to how designs were presented with another passion- event production. IMPACT is an alternative, nonprofit New York fashion week platform for emerging, sustainable designers to showcase their work in pop-up shops, showrooms, and on the runway.
Not only does the designer’s work make an impact on the runway, but also all ticket proceeds from our events are donated to a different environmental organization/charity each year. IMPACT welcomes all genders, sizes, & seasons. Each event also includes a variety of live music performances, guest speakers who are pioneers of sustainability, and refreshments from our generous sponsors.
The ultimate goal is to have a fun evening celebrating sustainable design, educating the general public about eco-friendly fashion, and everyone gaining connections to achieve their own future endeavors! This is our second event that will be benefitting Remake and have an 100% virtual audience due to COVID-19 and attendees can access the event livestream through Vimeo, video chats through Zoom, and virtual pop-up shop through our website.
