The September-release timing with Paris Fashion Week (which starts September 25) may be coincidental, but it’s as good a time as any to see new,
striking beauty products from fashion powerhouse Dior.
For this new season, Dior Makeup Creative and Image Director Peter Philips has revealed two new Rouge Dior products: Rouge Liquid and Double Rouge.

Philips created 29 shades ranging from creamy beige to classic #999 Dior red to full-throttle black in three distinct textures – matte, satin, and metallic.
To “push back the limits, experiment, and shock people a bit,” Philips devised four extreme shades: Black Matte (a dramatic ebony), Oxblood Matte (a rich chocolate brown), Fab Satin (a deep, sensual plum), and Hologram (a multidimensional cyber silver that can be worn alone or used as a topcoat).

Rouge Dior Double Rouge is a study in contradictions: An intensely pigmented, matte outer ring wraps around a metallic core that catches the light to create the illusion of volume. As Philips explained, this innovative lipstick “exploits the almost retro idea of ombré” and reinvents the way consumers achieve this classic effect made famous by ’80s supermodels like Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Turlington.
