Miami Swim Week is the most anticipated fashion event in South Florida. During the five-day event, there are lots of runway shows with bikini models, celebrities mingling with the crowd, and designers showcasing their latest swimwear lines. Fashion and beauty brands are also present during the event. They host after parties in clubs and other venues all over Miami.
If you are not interested in fashion or the latest swimwear lines, then you can head to the after-parties and events that are also happening during Miami Swim Week. Below are some of the clubs and after parties that you should go during the swimwear fashion week. Keep in mind that some of the after parties are by invite only, while other needs an RSVP. The good news is that there are parties open to the general party.
Swimmiami Kickoff Party
Swimmiami takes place each year during Miami Swim Week, and one of the most anticipated parties during the fashion week is this events kickoff party. In 2016, it was held at the W Hotel and featured reggaeton artist Vikina Lopez and DJ Kent Jones.
Beach Bunny Swimwear After Party
Beach Bunny Swimwear is one of the brands that are hosting their own parties during the fashion week. It is held at Rockwell down in Washington Avenue. You will be lucky to see some celebrities popping a bottle or two at the after party.
Splashion is another event during Miami Swim Week that draws lots of crowds. The bad news is that it is an invite-only event. Miami Magazine is the host of the event, and it was last held at the W South Beach with Uncle Luke and YesJulz providing the entertainment for the night.
Lazy Sunday BBQ
If you don’t enjoy loud noise at dark clubs, then this is one party that you should attend. The Lazy Sunday BBQ is a laidback party held at the Standard and hosted by the Mara Hoffman swimwear line. The hotel/spa is known for its exclusivity, and this event is by RSVP. If you are lucky to be selected for the party, then you get to enjoy BBQ at the most luxurious spot in Miami.
Aloha! Sunset Party
This after party is held at the last day of Miami Swim Week. It is hosted by NOBE67 and The Hungry Post at the Delano. It is a different kind of after party because it involves an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes a roasted pig in its menu. It is definitely a cheat day for everyone who attended the event.
SKAM Artist Swim Week Takeover
This event is open to the public and is held at the Hyde Beach. It features artists from SKAM, an agency that manages DJs. Including DJ Saint Clair, Sam Pace, and Caroline D’Amore, just to name a few. It will be three days of partying that coincide with Miami Swim Week.
These are the after parties and clubs that you might want to check out during Miami Swim Week. There is something for everyone, whether you love fun, music, partying hard, and roasted pig.
