KÍLÈNTÁR At The Green Show x Mastercard

The Green Show made its anticipated return to New York Fashion Week, once again setting the standard for sustainability in high-profile cultural events. This year’s show, held at Mastercard’s 11-story, 214,000-square-foot tech hub in New York City, brought together fashion, innovation, and sustainability with a dynamic series of panels and the New York Fashion Week debut of KÍLÈNTÁR.

KÍLÈNTÁR’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, “Mama Ìbẹ́ta” celebrates the artistry of African craftsmanship and KÍLÈNTÁR’s commitment to ethical practices. “As we continue to grow, my commitment remains steadfast: to uplift and empower the women who bring our visions to life, to maintain ethical practices in everything we do, and to create collections that are as meaningful as they are beautiful,” said Michelle Adepoju, Founder & Creative Director of KÍLÈNTÁR. The garments, handwoven by skilled women in Burkina Faso using sustainable dyes, and the vibrant contributions from Nigerian female dyers and beaders, showcased a powerful narrative of culture, heritage, and sustainability.

Accompanying the clothing were shoes from OMÔL, hair & makeup by Romana New York, with nail art by Bernadette Thompson, completing the vision of sustainable luxury on the runway.

Prior to the runway show, The Green Show hosted three engaging panels focused on the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic impact. Moderated by Jan Roessner, CEO of One Earth Rising, the panels featured a diverse group of experts including Michelle Adepoju, Founder & Creative Director of KÍLÈNTÁR; Sergeant Johnny James Hines III, Special Assignment at Youth Strategies, New York City Police Department; Peter Rose, Senior Director at Hydro Quebec; Anthony Boccardi, President of The HC Spirits; João Campos, Growth Manager at B LAB; and Ellen Jackowski, Chief Sustainability Officer at Mastercard

The afterparty on the rooftop terrace offered breathtaking city views and featured sustainable, locally-sourced cuisine by DIG. Guests enjoyed exclusive Aupale Vodka cocktails and Rosaluna Mezcal, complementing the evening’s theme of sustainable indulgence.

A New Standard in Fashion Events: The Green Show continues to redefine the boundaries of fashion and sustainability, proving that the two can coexist beautifully and effectively. By bringing together visionaries from diverse sectors, The Green Show not only celebrated fashion but also strengthened its role in promoting sustainable business practices globally.
