Société Fashion – the Budapest-based initiative redefining European fashion for the next generation, launching its Fashion Accelerator Program in New York City.
A new platform for the most promising fashion talents – Société Fashion Accelerator Program – provides creative professional environment to help young designers with a great commercial potential to grow. In a year-long program, it offers business mentoring, media coverage and networking opportunities, guiding six designer teams to reach their full potential in order to succeed on international markets.
12 shortlisted designers from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia got a chance to be presented in front of the New York based selection committee of top- notch professionals from every aspect of the industry. During the selection meeting on the 8th of June in Spring Place, NYC, Eddie Mullon, Frederic Pinet, Stephanie Kirtley, Lisa Smilor, Mark Tevis and Martyna Panczak will choose six contestants who will win personalized brand-specific consultancy for a year. The talents of Central Europe will also have an opportunity to introduce their brands on international markets and promote their collections in the world’s fashion capitals.
One of the goals of our initiative is to provide the designer community with resources and skills inevitable in a global retail market of the future – says Martyna Panczak, Head of Société Fashion. We believe being one step ahead is a success factor and a true differentiator in today’s industry and this is what we want to convey very strongly to our designers.
The announcement of the winners will take place on the 9th of June, during the launch event at one of the hippest concept stores in New York – Bulletin Soho, frequented by trendsetters and influencers, giving exposure to outstanding young brands. Bulletin will also host Société Pop Up Store, where, for two weeks, New Yorkers will be able to purchase products of Central European designers.
